Movity Community Guidelines

Movity is a platform for creative professionals to share and discover original work. By publishing content on Movity, you agree to the following guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, loss of verification status, or account suspension.

1. Original Work You Contributed To

All content you publish must be work you personally contributed to in a professional capacity — as a director, cinematographer, editor, colorist, VFX artist, sound designer, producer, or in another credited role. Uploading work you had no part in creating is not permitted, even if it is publicly available.

2. Quality Standards

Movity is a professional platform. The content you publish should reflect your best work. When selecting frames or clips to share, choose your strongest material — well-composed, properly exposed, and representative of the project's quality.

What we consider high quality:

  • No black bars (letterbox/pillarbox) — we automatically detect and remove these where possible, but you should review and adjust the crop if needed
  • Sharp and in focus — no motion blur, missed focus, or soft frames
  • Properly exposed — no blown-out highlights or crushed shadows unless intentional
  • Well-composed — no accidental crops, boom mics in frame, or sloppy framing
  • Representative of the project — your best frames, not every frame
  • Varied — we don't want to see five near-identical frames from the same shot; show range

More frames ≠ more visibility. Posting a high volume of low-quality frames does not help you trend. In fact, it has the opposite effect — when your content underperforms, the entire video, its frames, and your account get downranked in Explore. A smaller selection of strong frames will always outperform a flood of mediocre ones.

Consistently posting low-quality frames, poorly selected stills, or substandard video will result in suspension of your verification status. We want every creator's portfolio to represent the high standard the community expects.

3. You Must Have the Rights to Publish

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share the content you upload. This includes clearance from production companies, clients, studios, or collaborators where required. Movity is not a distribution platform — publishing full-length feature films, series episodes, or other long-form content owned by studios or distributors is strictly prohibited. Share your reels, clips, and project excerpts, not the full deliverable you don't own distribution rights to.

4. Music and Audio Rights

If your content includes music, sound design, or any audio you did not create, you must have the appropriate license or permission to include it. Uploading content with unlicensed commercial music is a violation, even if the visual work is yours. If in doubt, use royalty-free alternatives or mute the audio before publishing.

5. No AI-Generated Content

Movity is a platform for human-made creative work. Content generated primarily by AI tools — including AI-generated imagery, video, characters, or environments — is not permitted. Using AI-assisted tools within a traditional production or post-production pipeline (denoising, upscaling, rotoscoping, sky replacement, VFX compositing, color matching, etc.) is fine, as long as a human creative vision is driving the work. What we don't allow is AI slop: content where the core creative output was generated by a prompt rather than crafted by a person.

6. Mature Content Must Be Labeled

If your content contains nudity, graphic violence, strong language, or other material that may not be suitable for all audiences, you must mark it as mature when publishing. This allows us to filter it appropriately for underage users and public viewers. Failure to label mature content correctly is a serious violation and will result in account suspension. When in doubt, label it.

7. No Pornographic or Sexually Explicit Content

Nudity or sexual content intended to arouse is not permitted under any circumstances. Artistic nudity within the context of a professional narrative, documentary, or fine art project may be permitted at Movity's discretion and must be labeled as mature, but must not be gratuitous.

8. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Movity account. Users under 18 will not be shown content marked as mature. Misrepresenting your age to bypass content restrictions is a violation and grounds for immediate account termination.

9. No Hateful, Violent, or Harmful Content

Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, graphic violence for shock value, or illegal activity is not allowed. Professional work that depicts difficult subject matter in a narrative or documentary context is evaluated case by case and must be labeled as mature where appropriate.

10. Accurate Credits and Metadata

Do not misrepresent your role on a project. Tag your actual contribution honestly. Claiming credit for work you didn't do — or inflating your involvement — undermines the community and may result in removal.

11. No Spam or Misleading Content

Do not upload duplicates, irrelevant content, or use misleading titles and tags. Every item you publish should represent genuine professional output.

12. Respect Other Creators

Do not harass, impersonate, or misrepresent your involvement in another creator's work. Respect collaborators and credit them where appropriate.

13. Reporting and Takedowns

If you believe content on Movity infringes your rights or violates these guidelines, contact us. We take takedown requests seriously and will act promptly on valid claims.

14. Enforcement

Movity reserves the right to remove any content, revoke verification status, and suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these guidelines, with or without prior notice. Severity is assessed on a case-by-case basis, but repeated violations will result in permanent removal from the platform.
